Moon Tea

12.00

suggestions for use: add 2 tsp loose tea per mug of hot water; cover + steep to taste (approx. 3 minutes). I like to steep the same herbs at least twice, so for every 2 tsp herbs, you could make 1-3 (or more) cups tea

organic ingredients: lemon balm, lemon verbena, lady's mantle, oat straw, rose, lavender, calendula, chamomile, marjoram, and st. john's wort (unless you select appropriate option) -- note: all of these herbs are naturally free of caffeine

product details: *please note* this a loose herbal tea -- tea strainer, tea ball, or paper filters are not included. One bag of this loose herbal tea will make approximately 20 cups of tea (item weight: 1.16 oz). In my experience, dried herbs do not "expire" when kept in a cool, dry place, however they will lose their potency & deliciousness as time passes. For best results, use within a year of purchase. :)

shipping: included in price

inspiration: This tea was originally intended to be a nourishing, revitalizing and calming drink for the days of the month where my menstrual cycle was causing me to feel fatigued, irritable, or sad. It ended up being so delicious, restorative & rejuvenating for me that I now drink at least a cup a day! I have shared it with both menstruating and non-menstruating friends and it was consumed & appreciated with equal enthusiasm. I find it to be equally lovely as a gentle morning wake-up, afternoon pick-me-up, or evening unwind tea, though some folks might find it to be too blissfully relaxing for daytime. The herbs are gentle and the taste is mild, sweet, and floral. I invite you to drink a cup especially during full- and new moons while marveling at the incomprehensible vastness of the universe! (Some Carl Sagan is also highly encouraged, especially the "Pale Blue Dot" clip).

note: Some folks like to avoid St. John's Wort if they are on certain prescription medications such as antidepressants. I have included it in the blend as I find it to be a wonderful herb in tea during the long, dark winter months, difficult phases of life, or monthly mood fluctuations. If you are concerned about taking St. John's Wort, please select the appropriate option at checkout and I will happily send your tea without it.
