Many of these recipes don't use exact or any measurements at all because I rarely measure ingredients when I cook. My hope is that the absence of specific structure will empower to you to tap into your intuition and free you to venture outside of my suggestions & create flavors and textures of your own, that appeal to you! (Since I am a musician, I like to call this improv-cooking!)

If you are new to cooking, start with the general outline I provide and go from there. Remember to pay attention to any urges or ideas you have as that could lead to something delicious & new! And don't forget that everything is trial + error, so there's no such thing as a mistake--just a lesson for what not to do next time!
